1. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound

   "Amazing Grace” is probably the most beloved Christian hymn of the last two centuries and is estimated to be performed 10 million times annually and has appeared on over 11,000 albums. It was referenced in the anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin and had a surge of popularity during two of America’s greatest crises: the Civil War and the Vietnam War. Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Johny Cash, Willie Nelson and Elvis are among the many artists to record the song. Recently, President Obama burst into the familiar tune during the memorial service for Reverend Clementa Pinckney, a victim of a church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.
   
   

   Deze hymne raakt me altijd. We zongen het in de de kerk vandaag. We brunchten uitgebreid met de familie van Rijn. Dat was feestelijk en gezellig. Paar uurtjes thuis (klaarmaken voor nu 3x school) en de mis welke we bijwoonden in de St George's kerk begon om 17.30.
