Dear Mr and Mrs Balhuizen,

As I have already made contact with you, you will already know that Mabel has made a fantastic start to her new class. She has settled exceptionally well and seems happy to be in her new class.

(...) She has demonstrated that she is able to work with her peers both an academic and social setting. Mabel’s attitude to learning is very positive. She is keen, enthusiastic and is always willing to make contributions to class discussions. (...)

Mabel’s keenness to learn is a real benefit to her and it is a very positive thing that she openly asks questions about things that she does not understand. (...)
Having Mabel in our class is an absolute pleasure and I am certain that with her enthusiasm she will continue to make good progress. (...)

Thank you for a great start to the term in Year 3, we are very pleased with the way Merle has settled in. It has been a long but successful week for her and we appreciate that she is adjusting to a new environment and new class expectations. Merle has displayed a very positive attitude towards school and and I'm sure she will continue to settle with great success.

Please let me know if there is anything we can do to make the following week even better. We appreciate your support in advance and enjoy the weekend!

Just want to write a short note to reassure you that Myrthe had a great day in our Explorer class. She settled in really well. Everytime I checked, she was busy with some activities. I was very impressed with her. A new city, a new school, new routines and lots of new friends, and she handled all of it very well. She had no trouble using her voice and telling me what she needed. I had set up a art's table, so that the children could make caterpillars because we were reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar book by Earl Carle. She decide that she wanted to make hearts instead and asked me to help her. Again I was impressed that she knew what she wanted and was confident enough to tell me. I am looking forward to getting to know better.

I think that she is excited to go on our trip on Wednesday to the Butterfly Centre. Just a quick reminder that she will need to wear her school uniform, bring a snack , water bottle and a packed lunch just like a regular school day.(...)
Mabel blijkt een 'mathmatician"talent..if indeed so,not from me!!!
